Cabin In The Woods is a sustainable home stay, in the Himalayan foothills of Dehradun, run by a family of artists, who believe in embracing a slow and green lifestyle. The cabin works towards its zero-waste goal, everyday. Waste is segregated and all the kitchen waste is converted to compost in the property itself. The compost is then used as manure for the many plants and vegetables that are grown in the kitchen garden. Lettuce, broccoli, tomato, chilly, beetroot are some of the vegetables grown apart from the several trees of mango, lychee and alma that are on the property. Often the produce is used to whip up delicacies for the guests and complete the farm to table experience.
