You can choose to camp by the lake if you are feeling adventurous. Camping here will be an enthralling experience all together.

Although leaving the warmth of your camp is extremely difficult, go ahead and step out. During the night, the stars of the sky shine in all their glory. You will not be able to see even a bit of space between the stars as they bedazzle the entire sky and envelop the moon.
A few of the migratory birds also flock here. This makes the site heaven for the bird watching enthusiasts.
Marmots are large squirrels which are found in mountainous areas and reside in burrows. there is a good chance of spotting them and they are super friendly too.

You get a direct view of pangong lake from the homestay, due to the high altitude the nights can get very cold and staying in tents can be very challenging for those who are not used to the cold hence, this mud house solves all the problems by allowing you to have a warm cozy sleep.

You can experience the authentic Ladakhi food items here for example: Paba that is a type of roti made from Barley, where The flour of Barley is roasted and kneaded in a little oil and eaten with some sugar. Another way to eat it is with Tangthur and Zathuk which is butter milk. Paba is mixed with Tangthur and other vegetables and eaten. Papa thukpa is another local dish that can be had here, if you like home food and like the standard north indian thali then they serve that here too.
All food is cooked over a slow burning firewood.
You can also participate in cooking and learn some recipes from Ladakh.

You get a chance to visit Tangtse monastery up close) on your way to Pangong. It is a majestic monastery, may right next to the all popular Thiksey.
It is quite remote, so people don't visit it as often but with the hilly surroundings, it is quite a treat in the middle of nowhere.
You can experience the Pangong lake which is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas, the lake stretches from Eastern Ladakh to Tibet. Around 60% portion of the lake lies in China.
Enjoy the grand view of the Chang-Chenmo range mountains from the farthest village of Spangmik.

Reach Leh then go to Shey You will be able to hire a taxi for the journey ahead

Karu – Shakti – Chang La [40 kms]
Chang La – Durbuk – Tangste [60 kms]
Tangste – Lukung – Spangmik – Pangong Tso [30 kms]
